that hijab story

scroll back to a couple or two previous posts. Imma do a continuing story.

So, as I said, for my Muslim sisters that had hijrah to the hijab life of theirs, there musta be a story behind it. I'm going to share my sister's story that she told me.

Last two years, she had this dream where she was on the bus at the age of 30ish. She saw this two girls playing ball. She looked at those two girls. one of them was wearing a white-ish blue and the other one was wearing a red tank top with sports shorts. the red tanked top girl had brownish gold hair. She kept on looking at those two girls and realized that it was her and our eldest sister (yea, she loved to wear that outfit when she was a girl and that's why she knew it was her!). The "her"looked at her back, smiled and waved. As soon as she got out from the bus, our late uncle was waiting for her and smiled and kindalike ask her to be a good Muslim.

Okay, maybe it's not the best story that you've ever heard, but I had goosebumps when she told it.

Till then!

i think the last time i ate here was with the exbf like 3 years ago.
But yeah, a two hour lunch became to not returning to office and by 8pm, we ended up with this:

#sayNOtoSTARBUCKS
yes, dua kali lepak Starbucks, I had Coffee Bean and Chatime instead. hihi :P

Starbucks vs Coffee Bean

I've always been a fan of Coffee Bean (CBTL) since I was 16 y/o cuz of the texture of the drinks are flawless and they offer a lot of choices that are actually "variety". Not to forget, they offer a Coffee Bean card where you collect points with 10bean points for every rm1 spent. Meaning that 10 large ice blended = 1 free large drink! Cool, ain't it? My favorite CBTL would be the one in outside of Pavilion. The baristas there are so friendly and they even remember my name! (1bonus point there. Job well done, CBTL Pv!)

However, since Starbucks had released their Starbucks card, and you can actually find Starbucks like everyfwhere you go, I've decided to set my heart there. And no, ai'm not cheating on CBTL, mind you. I don't favor Choc Cream Chip or Java Chip that much, but those are the only two that I would consider drinking.

So, one day, I went to Starbuck Bukit Tinggi and ordered myself a cup of Java Chip. The barista there(the dude with a maroon framed glasses) did my drink as well as my sister's. I asked him, "why is my whipped cream soaked in my drink?", he replied, "oh cuz the whipped cream's a bit melted". It didn't make any sense cuz my sister's mocha frap's presentation was a whole lot nicer and "drooller" compared to mine.

I took my drink and slanted it 90degrees and showed him that my drink was actually "too blended" till it formed like a chocolate milk instead of an ice blended. He offered me to do a new one and passed the task to another barista there, a girl.

While my drink was blending, she was preparing this chinese girl's drink. She smiled to the girl and was being very pleasant. Then, she took out the blended drink, stomped the whipped cream and passed my frap while stomping it! And at some point I think she was trying to teach me a lesson by making my frap with an extra too much of mocha and chocolate which I can't even consumed. I got shocked and pissed. Why do you have to be so rude? I've spent an amount of money for my good AND service.

I've complained to the manager regarding her behavior and he did apologized. Like duuh! So yeah, I'm starting my #sayNOtoStarbucks campaign and had been a loyal CBTL customer, again. Since the past ten years, I've been to most of the CBTL outlets around Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Melakaand even in the States, and CBTL never had failed me with a decent cup of coffee or ice blended with well trained and friendly employees.

So yeah, if these two companies were to be nominated to win for a nobel prize, a grammy award or even to be the president, CBTL, you'll definitely will have my vote! (And my friends which I will persuade my way thru!)

Congrats, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, you won a place in my heart! Woot!
